Language cultural changes

Many technology companies have used terms for years that were perceived as innocent, but today, those terms can be viewed as offensive by some, and companies are beginning to change those terms to non-offensive terms.

It applies to many industries, not just technology. A good example is the use of "Master bedroom" in real estate. In technical companies, terms like “Master”, as a technical term or in someone’s title, “whitelist” and “blacklist” are perceived as offensive, and more and more companies are starting to change their terminology.
