Many organizations started using OKRs in the last few years. OKRs are a framework that represents the acronyms of Objectives and Key Results. The approach seeks to enhance the productivity of organizations by constantly connecting strategic goals and measurable key achievements.

This OKR framework's success depends on many factors, Some organizations are very successful in implementing this framework, and some of them, especially in the initial stage, are less successful or even experience a failure of this framework.

I led, implemented, and facilitated OKRs in several companies, and I would like to share the top 5 reasons your OKRs might not be working, from my experience:

⚠️There is no alignment about the need \added value of OKRs within the company’s management

⚠️The OKR is not an actual OKR - it's a task, project, etc.

⚠️The OKR is too much\not enough ambitious

⚠️The OKRs are not managed and not followed up throughout the year\quarter

⚠️There is no OKR champion per division\team
